Hi, 1st time in the post, but been reading for quite a time. Love the Black Panther (somehow like him, I was born in Africa, educated both there and in the west, and dream of helping my peeps).
I like how Hudlin brought back the Black panther to give an opportunity for new readers to jump in, but he is losing them fast with frogs and zombies, what's next: Wakanda vs kangaroo nation from planet pluto? catfight between storm and her hairdresser because she dyed her hair Black???

If I could, this is where I'd take the Black panther:

plot #1: exploit the celestial experience aquired via the heart shaped herbs. We learn that T'challa has been supressing an incredible power that often manifest itself when he visits the celestial plane. This uncontrollable power (not mutation or traditional superpower like spidey), can even morph the king into a hulking form. Given by the Panther God, T'challa's intellect and poise has supress that inner being (although it was his contingency plan as last resort during World War hulk (you know has a plan for all marvel U).

While t'challa struggles with that power he's having a hard time controlling ( a secret he shares with his wife of course) he learns of a conspiracy against wakanda during civil war orchestrated by elements both inside and outside of Wakanda (is it Tony? the entity that possessed his cousin? the skrulls (real ones, not the zombie)? both and many others?). With the help of Brother Vodoo, T'challa embarks on a secret mission to root out unseen enemies from earth and the celestials. With the inner power causing him to be volatile, Storm is in charge, becoming the central figure of Wakanda wich leads to:

plot #2 (or subplot): After many years seen as a goddess and a rightful queen of her tribe, the queen Ororo finally rules over a real Kingdom, reassume her lignage as woman on the throne, while being worried sick for her husband. naturally not everybody is Happy to see Storm in that position, while some seek the exploit the situation to penetrate Wakanda. Storm must face dissentions in the Kingdom and abroad from both political and superbeing enemies.

Why I think it'll be interesting?
We will see T'challa investigating and traking skills at work, fighting enemies without worrying about political ramifications. He is once again working underground, calculating and planning, while keeping an eye on what's happening on the official scene.
We see Storm as the true leader she is, as during her X-men days. we also see her leading strong men, and manifesting an interest in the mysterious Wakanda mutant population.
Tchalla works behind the scene, Storm in the big stage, and yet together. their two fights are presented in the same book, kinda like X-men and endangered species, while serving as a tie-in inside a tie-in.

Would that be interesting or not? you be the judge, let me know. My apologies if it was long.

Best to all

These are some really good ideas you have here. And I agree that it would be great to see Storm in charge of Wakanda while Panther is away tending to other matters, and I do believe that a lot of people would try to test Storm to see how powerful of a queen she can be.

I also like your idea of Panther and Storm still being together while dealing with two separate situations...

Last but not least...I do wish Storm's hair would be dyed black!
