> Has Hudlin or Priest ever addressed what happens to the Dora Milaje's official role if BP marries someone. > > I know that the DM are supposed to be ceremonial Wives_In_Training (although Priest's T'Challa never committed to following the DM's official definition of their role to the letter) . I was just wondering if it has been discussed since Storm is Queen now. Not that I'm aware of, and it's likely because the Dora Milaje serve a different purpose in Hudlin's Wakanda. As noted by others, in Priest's Wakanda, the Dora Milaje existed to stabilize peace between rival tribes. Hudlin's Wakanda, however, doesn't have rival tribes. The fact that they are carbon-copies of each other suggests that they don't come from different tribal backgrounds. Instead of being "wives-in-training," and instead of existing to promote cultural harmony, they've been retconned into being nothing more than hot, tattooed female bodyguards. And as such, there's nothing to address with regard to T'Challa's marriage to Storm. | |||||||
