Nor should he. It always struck me as disingenuous to use fictional characters to solve real world issues inside of a fictional medium. There's a vast difference between that, and using fictional nations and symbolism to inform readers of current issues.

If that's the case, they should've had Superman stop the Iraq War. I use to read All Star Squardron back in the day I remember Roy Thomas came up with an explanation as to why the most powerful heroes couldn't go into Germany and stop World War II. Hitler was in control of the Spear of Destiny and those with powers that landed in Germany would be under Hitler's spell.
