Reply Subj: Does Killmonger have the potential to be a major villian? Posted: Wed Apr 02, 2008 at 04:59:15 pm EDT (Viewed 1 times)
In terms of genius, Killmonger is by no means lacking. He's created cult followings easily and is cunning enough to exploit that to his advantage. He understands the inter related political/economic work better than some of Marvel's mega scientists and is pretty charismatic. If a writer used those qualities, Killmonger could be very threatening indeed. But at the same time, Killmonger's main motivation is taking down T'Challa. He's like a cruise missile and everything he does is towards that single mission. To be a major villain, Killmonger needs a larger motivation than tearing down T'Challa. Sabretooth, Dr. Doom, et all don't always fight their arch foes and can comfortably fit into stories lacking them. As it stands and unless it's changed, the same cannot be said for Killmonger. And until that hurdle is overcome, Killmonger can only be a primary Panther villain. > After reading the recent issue of Black Panther, I think Erik Killmonger has the potential to become a major foe in the Marvel Universe. He not only has the strength but genius and weaponry. I hope Hudlin develops him to a force to be reckoned with. I like to see Killmonger go up against other heroes like Captain America (Winter Soldier), The Mighty Avengers, The Fantastic Four and others. More importantly I like to see him elevated to the ranks of the master villian pantheon with the likes of Doctor Doom, Red Skull, Magneto, Loki, The Kingpin, The Wizard, The Mandarin and whoever else I left out. > > I like to see him bring Casinos to Niganda to boost the economy and tourism and maybe an Amusement Park.
