Why is everyone panicking? Has T'Challa ever left the throne before? Has someone ever donned the vibranium weave, ceremonial garb of the Panther? Has T'Challa ever had to focus on other aspects of his life other than being the Champion of Wakanda? Yes, yes, and yes. You are crazy if you think T'Challa is retiring, he'll be more active than ever. That super mind of his will only allow him to sit still for so long. The Panther mythos is not only about T'Challa, but about all the Black Panthers through history. I believe Marvel knows what they have with T'Challa, a creation from Lee/Kirby that not only changed comics, but helped change american society. T'Challa will not be going away. I think the fans have to compare this senario with T'Challa's best friend, Steve Rogers. Arguably, Mr. Brubaker has turned Captain America into one of Marvels finest comics, can Mr. Hudlin do the same? Let's give this new panther a try, and see what T'challa does with his time. This doesnt bode well for T'Challa and Storm for the ending of World's Apart series... Humbly submitted, MorteM | |||||||
