I know the movie industry wants big names to draw in crowds to the theaters, but as long as they produce a top-notch film, it shouldn't matter who is in the lead role (as long as they can act).

Djimon Hounsou, thats his name. im with you, theyd almost have to go with an "unknown" as tchalla (and hollywood hates that). they have to find an actor whos body type would be believable as someone who could pull off tchalla type gymnastic stunts. not only would you have to believe hes muscular enough to beat up most guys but also agile enough to leap 3 meters in the air with 20 summersalts and flips.

but like you said, as long as the actor can act, its the story that would matter.

im not sure what BET is (im guessing its an american telly station) but im happy that Hounsou will be Tchallas voice. he might be a bit old to play tchalla nowadays in a live action film (he wasnt too young in gladiator and that was 10 years ago or so) but id definately take him over wesley snipes. i dont think they like the comic book confusion theyd get since snips played blade. i dont think theyd want him playing another comic book hero. also ive never heard snipes try an accent. he usually just plays himself.

theres always robert downey jr in blackface to consider (like in tropic thunder). just kidding of course:-)
