Not that its bad; its good enough. Probably would read better in one sitting. Cant help thinking by the time this arc is over the Kirby days wouldve had more than just the one adventure told.

The panels with Wakandan backdrop are very colorful and add a pleasant flavor to the setting. The Death-realm and Panthergod-realm are boringly background free for too many pages with apparently random color scheme per page.

Wonder how folks will think of Man-Ape's role. Thought it was done well and really added to the threat factor posed by this (new?) Morlun. The comments to Shuri by the Panther God were veeery interesting and could result in a double-sized TPB of this arc, considering them. Also T'Challa's instincts were very impressive in dealing with his father (and this death-entity). After a month long wait, Storm's anticipated rescue attempt... is unfortunately still anticipated.

Please add YOUR comments on any of the specifics or specific players this month?

I agree, this storyline/arc is taking way too long...and we have two more issues before this particular arc is over. And Storm did nothing in this issue until the last panel (if we really consider that DOING something).

I think the storyline is a little intriguing, BUT we're no closer to finding out who the female Panther will be than we were when this arc first started. It's POSSIBLE that with a little more dedication and a change in attitude that Shuri can changed the Panther God's mind and she will be the new Black Panther, but I don't want to wait until the last panel in Issue 6 to find out who will be behind the mask.

And I really don't want to see another Panther take the place of T'Challa as the Black Panther. I would not mind at ALL having two Black Panthers in the Marvel Universe...one in Wakanda and the other one on the Avengers or something.

But in the meantime, we will have to wait until T'Challa finishes his physical therapy (if we are to believe the preview art from the new upcoming artist) and finishes recuperating before he will become the Black Panther again. This is the SECOND time we will be seeing T'Challa recovering from his near-death/coma experience (the first time was in the Priest era, after Killmonger put Panther in a coma after Panther was distracted by Everett K. Ross).

This arc is a ittle frustrating for me because it seems like we barely moved forward in the storyline...Morlun apparently killed Man-Ape but has yet to contront the Panther totem...the Panther God turned Shuri down but we STILL don't know who the new female Panther will be...and Storm just showed up in the spirit world in the last panel, making us wait yet ANOTHER full month before she actually DOES something to help T'Challa.

If this was a story that came out every two weeks it would be better, but stretching out a six-part arc over six months when everyone is waiting for the debut of the new Panther is a bit too much, in my opinion.
