I am dying over the pace here...soooooo slow, maybe they're trying not to do too much so the next writer won't have much to modify when he takes over in two months.

Still not a new Black panther, but at least we know it is not Shuri, her reaction to the rejection is something potentially good to exploit. Imagine Shuri going rogue, while trained by T'challa, she is deadly, yet being his sister, he might have a soft touch in how to deal with her..making her even deadlier.

Morlun as a Vilain sounds too temporary IMO, I can't figure the long lasting effet of his presence, knowing that it's hardly believable that he will eat the Panther totem...

Overall, like most Hudlin issues...full of GREAT ideas and schemes lurking around, but as usual they won't be exploited.

Good ridance man-ape, Hudlin had him full of bravado, but no action; a lot of vroum, no Boom; however, if my memory is correct, Africa and Wakanda has more than one tribe/ cult, isn't it there one of them that is powerful and waited for the house of the Panther to be weak, so the can put their cult on top?

At best, keep the rumor of T'challa in a coma, put Storm in charge as the new BP to deal with official threats, but in reality make T'challa go underground to investigate who was behind his near murder, and bring them to justice, Wakanda style...meaner, badder and near psycho.

A good read, but somehow disappointing when you know what's possibly ahead

Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't T'Challa gonna have to challenge the new Panther to get back the title?? He's still king, but the Panther title is still separate right?

If so, I think this was done all wrong. I think this arc should have been strictly about the new Panther. T'Challa should have stayed in a coma for a while longer. If the new Panther is Storm, he should have come out of a coma later, recouped, done a few adventures with her, THEN that would have set up an amicable but huge challenge between Storm and T'Challa for him to get the Panther title back. And of course she would want him to win, but she would give him maybe the hardest challenge he has ever faced...sparring HARD with his wife!!!!

Maybe that's planned down the road anyway!! Who knows...

      The Good:
      Seeing Man Ape Again
A strong Wakandan supporting cast is really emerging
      Most of the Art
The Shuri/Panther God exchange seemed authentic in theme, even though I was weirded out by the Panther God speaking.
The possibility of two panthers. Just like it took creativity to spring Thor from Asgard I see the potential here to free up BP to be a bigger player in the marvel universe (hopefully Avengers books).
Seeing T'Chaka even if he was a fake.

        The Bad:
Playing Man Ape for a patsy to put Morlun over (pedestrian technique to sell a bad guy)
Some of the dialogue seems off. Death saying "What the?" for example if I remember correctly.

          The Ugly:
The Pacing, for God's sake did Reggie study Bendis?
