Klaws Of The Panther #4

Verbosity in a good way - you get a lot of prose for your payment. Enjoyed the characterization of the 2 heroines - not much Rogers and his Secret Avengers. [It was a missed op to show him with the Mighty crew on call last ish.] The art was okay - not Rogers, though, he looked like a slob with an obtuse nose [ala Lois Griffin]. The story conclusion was okay too - look forward to more BPMB reactions to it.

They really worked the Shuri wrestling with her conscience-about-killing angle. They also worked the showing pathos for a new marvel villainess in M.U.S.I.C. effectively also.

Spidey was okay and Flea's fate provided a dramatic moment. The countdown clock made no sense to me, jumping from 29 UP TO 32 minutes. Snafu, right?

Loved seeing Tasha doing superagent work instead of superteam heroics. Beared seeing Klaw doing evil supergenius interpretation du jour because it was consistent for the whole arc - and he is usually pretty smart. It would seem his other interpretation in the current She-Hulk must be before this.

    Quote:
Hey all. I'm not the biggest BP fan, but I do like him and some of the Priest written issues. But I like Klaw also, and I know that he's in a mini series with the Panther now, so my questions are:

    Quote:
    #1. What's he up to?

Hopefully these issue comments helped.

    Quote:
#2. Has he confronted T'Challa yet?

Not in this arc. Although T'Challa was probably struck down by Klaw's plotsonic device like every other hero on USA soil unless he was surreptitiously wearing rare vibranium earplugs.

    Quote:
#3. Did he get a power boost?

It wouldve been cleaner ending to see why he wouldnt just turn around and try this again with more success. He didnt get a boost per se but he did give one to Joya(whose name was revealed a bit too matteroffactly).

    Quote:
#4. Has he ever killed anyone? I know that he ORDERED the Panther's father to be killed, but has he ever killed anybody HIMSELF? If so, can anyone tell me when.

Look forward to BPMB citings but would GUESS the answer to be yes.

    Quote:
#5. Other than the Priest issue (#29 was it?) and FF #53, have there been any other good fights between Klaw and the Panther?

From Wiki:
> With Black Panther's help, Klaw's scheme backfired and he found himself imprisoned within his own gun-hand, which was stored at research facility Project Pegasus. In Marvel Two-in-One #57 - 58 (Nov. - Dec 1979), Klaw is freed by fellow villain Solarr, although both are defeated by a group of heroes, including the Thing and Quasar.
And without digging it out, to see how good it was, recall this cover:
