My take: I enjoyed the issue, and I'm very much intrigued by Vlad as a villain. If I'm not mistaken, he's the first new villain for T'Challa in years.

The only thing I didn't like was T'Challa's encounter with Luke Cage. It seemed needlessly confrontational, especially considering that they had a well-established friendship during the Hudlin run. Seemed like T'Challa was being brusque for no descernible reason.

That said, I'm looking forward to the next issue.

I'll readily admit that I haven't read the issue to which you're referring, but having read the interview with Liss, I was forewarned that the formerly buddy relationship that T'Challa and Luke enjoyed would be erased in favor of a needlessly imperious attitude by T'Challa.

It was precisely for this reason that I have decide to sit out this iteration of the Pnther and await a characterization that is more respectful of, and consistent with, previous characterizations.
