Or both?
I understand that this is a solo Panther book, but Tchalla refusing to accept help from CAGE or whoever seems stubborn and iressponsible. I know that there are not real people, but the whole "I need to do this alone with no outside help" when people are dying is...I don't wanna say out of character, but...
Also, the tension with CAGE, and CAGE acting like bit of a jerk, and Tchalla as well...Especially with CAGE being right, in a way...From a storytelling standpoint, I don't if I agree with that...Even Priest's Panther accepted outside help...
That takes nothing away from the story, I find myself enjoying it quite a bit. But those are small pet peeves, if you will.

I'd go with BOTH. He is being prideful, refusing to accept any help. Yet people are dying, so its irresponsible not to accept assistance if that would help save lives.
I'd say this isn't inconsistent with T'Challa's past portrayals, though.
Yes, he's accepted and even solicited help in the past, but he's also had times when he's been stubborn and hard-headed.
