Agreed. A period of denial is understandable and storysmart, maybe even easily forgivable. He didnt exactly throw his costume in the alleyway trashcan like a certain wallcrawler once did so his [herbfree] heart still seems true. But if he does not change his ways after this Bad Vlad Arc then he is not the respectable heroic figure he once was.
Similarly, it might be argued that Ororo deserves those adjective labels when it comes to helping her hubby. Yes? Does she really believe prolonged isolation from him is healthiest decision for either of them or does she just love being in the X-verse more? uhhhm... of course she does?
