Some pages/panels come across as a bit space wasteful considering the added buck value - for example the repeated Reed's 'Now' page in particular which will look VERY repetitive in a TPB. Also, 'repetitive' was the 2 pages of future flashing that seems the same as the opening book in the writer's other Avengers title. Still that is just a cosmetic 'problem' with the story - the main problem is The Illuminati are in waaay over their flippin' heads! Their attitude is as presumptuous as the implication of the story's title. Who are these people to think they have the unilateral wisdom, let alone cosmic mastery, to make this decision to take this task upon themselves? Heck, they almost destroyed the superhuman community in the USA with their Civil War on their street level say so. Here, they are making these (ALL)lifechanging choices figuratively (and literally) in the dark.

...still it was good drama and a much better presented crisis.

Black Panther was a strong lead. Believable chemistry with Namor. Is the glowing blue eyes from the King of the Dead power? But with the exception of Reed and Strange, his going with this sextet is a questionable. Where's Silver Surfer, Ikaris, Blue Marvel, *couch* Hope, etc - unless maybe he was banking on them pulling out their Gems. We need more insight what his resources to his Mantle in Necropolis allows him ASAP.

Namor is just having fun posturing like he belongs in this company. His alpha dog persona would say nothing else.

Stark was much more flippant than he was against the PF5.

Cap is out of his element and sort of embarrassed himself with his preachiness in this sitch.

Reed got good and believable facetime. Genius in deed. In fact, if it was not for him this would be a mini series instead of a series. ;\)

Black Bolt is so talkative when written by Mr Hickman. ;\) Black Bolt has no problem with killing (especially after Vulcan fiasco?). Well, uhh, good for him.

Doc. Wow, is he ever underplayed. Especially since he is by default the interim Sorceror Supreme 'til someone claims the mantle and the Eye of Agamotto.

Black Swan was still interesting. Apparently and UNcredibly a reliable source of information for this Illuminati who are basing their next move on what she hints at. (Future NA female member by default?)
