Supposedly it's universe 8 now.

As I understand it.

1. The First Firmament was the god of Universe 1.
2. When he was defeated there came a Universe 2. That universe 2 fractured into a multiverse.
3. Universes 2-8 are part of multiverses
4. Universe 5 was part a magical multiverse
5. Galen aka Galactus comes from universe 6
6. Most/all Marvel stories predating Secret Wars are Universe 7. So there is very little relevance to comic properties in universes 1-6. The First Firmament from Universe 1, Moridun from Universe 5 and Galactus being from Universe 6 being some exceptions.
7. There is apparently some dissension in the ranks of the cosmic beings whether the current universe qualifies as a Universe 8 or is just a continuation of season 7. This is all playing out in Ultimates.
