Captain America - Steve Rogers 018 (2017)

The soul of this Captain America comic is just ugly.

The execution of the serial nature and logic progression of the crossover ties to Secret Empire is just ugly.

Black Panther, King Namor, White Queen of New Tian, Sabra, Euroforce, and The Ascendants reactions have been FINALLY shared with the readership here - and their fate and thought processes have gotten ugly.

By definition, ugly should not sell. How are Diamond Sales Trend for this (too) long run doing, anyways?

And the art, coincidentally, was not all that great this ish either. Cap underwater on the cover suffering Namor's rage turns out to be symbolic and at the same time a cheat.

[SIDEBAR: Can somebody name all the members of Euroforce and Ascendants appearing since the storytellers mistakenly thought it not important to even footnote anywhere?]

Support Cancer Research. Support Alzheimer Research.

Diamond sales are around the 35K mark, which isn't great for an A-list character supposedly involved in one of the biggest stories of his long history.

#1 only debuted at 90K, and it went quickly down hill, and has been languishing around the 35K mark for a number of months now.

Sam Wilsons book is at about 18K.

Secret Empire meanwhile is the lowest selling Marvel big event of the last four, so Nick Spencer gets to be the guy who turned Cap into a Nazi asshole, and doesn't even get any sales to show for it.
