Yeah, this has me worried too.

The article I read seems to suggest that the book will be running an angle similar to 'flat-earthers' and the whole 'fake news' phenomonom.

There was also a suggestion that this is a Marvel Universe where America used a cosmic cube to change the outcome of the war, but deliberately didnt erase the holocaust.

I hope that was just the author of the article speculating rather than something Waid is going to acutally run with, because I'm not sure thats a story I want to read.

Mark Waid told me directly that if I didnt like Spencers work I'd hate his. This is looking more likely with every press release.

Its that 'Greedo shot first', or the 'Police were holding walkie-talkies' in ET, phenomenon. Their creators looked back at their work after years of growing, learning, changing, and said, 'There's something wrong, lets rethink that.'

Also, didn't Waid write that Cap story, 'Send me some tiles', where he and Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, went after a very old bad guy, the Acrobat, and the story poked fun at the plot holes and absurdness of the Strange Tales 114 test outing of Captain America, before Avengers 4.

I think 'Icer' may be interesting and controversial as a plot outline.

Wait and see.
