Cap is one of a handful of titles I have always collected, and will always collect. There have been bad times before, and there will be again, although I refuse to accept that Waids run can be as bad as Spencers.

Icer, I suppose is the 'theme' of Cap's upcoming story, ...no different than after Jack Kirby's run, Cap gone on a mission to learn the origin of Steve Rogers before the Rebirth serum, or World Z, or that Hydra Cap run.

I was hoping for something like when Frank Miller started on Daredevil. DD was another superhero versus badguy, badguy doing bad thing, book, ...like flying a bomb-filled Blimp into New York city with Shanna and Black Widow held hostage, and Daredevil trying to save the city and them from some 'Baboon-faced' badguy (I can't believe I still remember reading or looking at those books when I was kid).
Miller took DD and made him into a ninja, introduced Elektra, named DD's stomping ground, Hell's Kitchen, stole Kingpin from Spidey, etc etc. This is what Daredevil has become, and repeated in books nowadays, movies and Netflix.

I'm hoping Waid would take Cap on a wild and different path/journey/adventure, that'll everyone will remember and define Cap's place in Marvel in the future.
