On paper Omega Supreme brings a lot more to the table than most heroes that have confronted and had Galactus on the ropes. However, there's no reason this fight (or any fight with mortals) should any differently than when Galactus sucked the energy out of Ultron. He should use this technique all the time and suck the life force out of whoever he's fighting. Alas Galactus doesn't use his power correctly as there would be no Marvel Earth on which to have superheroes and sell comics about their adventures.
