The Goddess Dark Phoenix Umar The Queen Of Fables Selene The Sphynx Karnilla Hela Then there are others like: Gamora Mantis Moondragon Kismet Sersi Thena Meggan And as others have pointed out: Elektra, Mystique, Nebula, Morgan Le Fay, etc. And the idea that you use Thanos as the basis for menacing is nuts. How many characters are as powerful as Thanos? Nearly none (cosmic entities excluded, of course). And the point is that someone posted that a woman cant be menacing - they didnt say a woman cant be as powerful as Thanos (which isnt true: Goddess, Dark Phoenix, etc). > If you put Nebula beside Thanos who would be more menacing? or even if you put her beside Ronan or the Super Skrull or any other male cosmic villain. > > same goes with mystique, put her beside Sabertooth and her menacing-ness (i made a word! lol) would greatly diminish. > > while it is true that there are strong portrayals of women in comic books who can also depict themselves in a very capable manner, sadly there is still a definite gap between the perceptions and interpretations when stacking strong female characters against strong male characters. | |||||||
