Thor typically isn't written as a moron, but he's not written like someone with millennia of experience either. Not to mention that he was brash and headstrong for a LOT of his life which is what caused Odin to punish him until Blake found Mjolnir as a cane in that cave.

I agree on that!

but thru the 80s in Sterns Avengers and his own book he was treated as a mature warrior and adult. Ditto in the losing days of his last run... so it's one of those characters where it kind of depends on who shows up on the day - the mature adult or the petulant brawler >:-|
