Agreed. I'm a Wonder Man fan but I'll be the first to admit he can't beat Superman. All I'm saying is the "fight" was over as soon as the artifact was acquired. It's possible Simon was out but it is also possible that as soon as he landed, he got up and flew back to the site.(Say what you want about Wondy but he can take a punch with the best of them.) Only Kurt Busiek knows for sure.
