I asked because considering how long ago WW was created and the status of women at the time, I found it curious that ANY MALE would take a woman's perspective in regards to the social climate at the time into consideration. If she was created in the 60's or 70's I could see it. Waitaminute! WAS she created in the 60's?!?! By the way J, I simply MUST ask: Did you ask me that out of curiousity or is this yet another occasion of you getting adversarial over Wonder Woman? I truly hope not. > > > Well; part of it comes down to the fact that the guy who made Wonder Woman was a psychologist and due to the fact that Wonder Woman was meant to be a female icon in comparison to Superman making her dependent on a man would lessen that. > > > > > > Basically guns are phallic symbols and we can guess what bullets would. > > > > > > Ergo being penetrated by a bullet would be to some extent symbolic of having sex and/or being raped. > > > > > > For either to happen to Wonder Woman would on a symbolic sense cause her to lose her status as a icon, conceptually anyways. > > > > > > Basically Wonder Woman is the "uber-woman" above you on the the pedestal type and as such you can never be worthy of her hence she is "closed" off to you and unaccessable. > > > > > > See her whole blocking thing is denying access to her in more ways than one. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Why does Wonder Woman block bullets with her bracelets but...can take punches from Superman? There's way more psi behind a punch from Superman than a bullet or an arrow, so how does she get hurt from an arrow or a bullet, but can take Superman's punches just fine? :-/ > > > > > > > > Excluding outside artifacts (bracelets etc), how does her durability rank against the following (Better or worse?): > > > > > > > > - Thor > > > > > > > > - Hulk > > > > > > > > - Original Doomsday > > > > > > > > - She-Hulk > > > > > > > > - Gladiator > > > > > > > > - Extremis Iron Man > > > > > > > > - Current Juggernaut > > > > > > > > - Wolverine > > > > > > > > - Dr. Doom > > > > > > > > - Namor (in the ocean) | |||||||
