I'm sure they had nothing to do with him getting her into the hold. They just starting stinging her once he did it (and she seems to barely feel that).

As I recall, you never saw her break free and you eventually saw Hercules free from her hold. When I get home I will view the details.

What's brilliant is your inability to acknowledge that, in response to her question, he began reminiscing over his exploits with Hypolyta when she punched him in mid-sentense. Am I right or wrong?

But you skip directly from his challenge to her punch, leaving out the inbetween. I wonder why?

When says "pummel", one generally refers to being beaten repeatedly without being able to respond. Characters routinely fly through objects when punched in comics.
