supporting something is very much a strength feat. Go to a power rack and put a couple hundred pounds on the bar, then support it across your shoulders without going into the squat will get tired after a while because it is heavy and you're supporting a significant weight. You don't have to LIFT it for it to still be a strength feat...there's a reason the guys on the World's Strongest Man can support a lot more than I can.
