Second, Slade the Terminator likes to do his homework before engaging in a battle. Obviously he's done so against most people in the DCU.

Against these two, though, he'd have no intelligence. In cases where he doesn't have intelligence, he mixes it up at first and quickly turns and runs if he can't secure a quick win. It's his nature. Spidey & Cap would certainly beat him if working together, but Slade won't let them. He's good enough to get away and come back later AFTER he's had a chance to study them. But in a first engagement, if he were forced to stay somehow, he'd lose.
