Wiki says this dude can affect supes level beings with his tornado attacks. He can fly as fast as supes, GL,and Powergirl and on top of that he's stronger than Wonderwoman? Is all this true or just an exaggeration?

He backs it up when he's in the comic books.

The problem is that he's not as popular as other characters, so he gets less face time in the comic books, and doesn't benefit from having his own comic book.

He's also someone that the writers, typically in big engagements, will either leave out or if he's there will get plot deviced quickly. Kind of like Martian Manhunter. We all know MM can mix it up good and proper if the writer's let him, but they always leave him out, or they manage to do something to him to keep him busy elsewhere, so he's not REALLY impacting the fight like we all know he can. It's the same for Red Tornado.

His powers in some ways can rival and exceed the big 3 at times, but by and large, he's just not as popular, doesn't express any kind of personality because of his being an android, and so people, especially kids, really can't identify with him until they are an adult & can understand the overall impact he brings to a team environment. He's a great team player, but in order to carry a solo cover, you have to have a distinct personality that people can latch on to. He doesn't.

Data from Star Trek fame was hugely successful BECAUSE of his quest to become as close to human as he could. Then when he got that emotion chip, it opened up all kinds of possibilities for him to explore, it made him that much more fun.

Red Tornado & Vision, by contrast, really dont have much of a personality, they really don't try to develop one, and so their character suffers accordingly. Sure, they have cool powers, and are awesome to have on a team, but they won't carry a solo cover on their own. No matter, they're still good to see in the teams they are on.
