Quote:According to you. However If the Axis is definitly a place and the Amazons steal only it's *power* something in that explanation of yours dooesn't add up.
Why would they hold it if it wouldn't fall when the let it go. LOGIC.
Quote:Atlas is described as the Axis' anchor which the Amazons used the Jar to replace. So if the Axis is the place where Earth, Sky and Heavens meet and it needs an achor such as Atlas or the subsequently the Jar you're looking at metaphysics over any real physics.
Quote:Atlas is just a cog.
You are now reaching for things.
Quote:Hercules as seen in the issue is screaming out from the sheer effort from it, that is not the signs of someone up to the task at hand and the issue ultimatly shows it.
He held it for a prolonged period. The entire city together. He also held up Manhattan in another recent issue.
Quote:That's right - if you've ever read JLA 29, 56 & 75 great pain is taken to put across the sheer scale and effort in what they are doing. I know how big the World/Moon is, but I don't know how big this Plate thing of the Hulks is....
If you read that story, the people were calling what Hulk was doing impossible and the issue takes great pains to put across the sheer scale and effore in what Hulk is doing. This plate is effected by gravity and has weight. The Earth and moon have no weight. We cannot quantify planet moving.
Quote:I don't know when Superman struggled to lift a helicopter or spaceship. You keep saying this stuff but never offer issue numbers alas....
Adventures of Superman #607. And you bring up him catching and slowing this huge spaceship. If he can move a planet, he should have moved that ship like nothing.
Quote:I was wondering though since Gladiators powerlevel is so uber why it is he can get laid out by the Living Lightning in Thor 445 or how that Thor can possibly cope with his speed/power when he struggles with Spider-man four issues later and had previously struggled with Mongoose..... That's the sort of logic i struggle with.
The same way he has Superman on the ropes in JLAvengers. The same way Superman is laid out by Dr. Light.
Quote:Don't you dare keep accusing me of singling out low showings, Lieing or Hypocrisy when you are guilty of only wanting the best stuff to be considered as the Norm.
Quote:No, I compare the best to the best while you compare the best of those you like to the worst of those you don't like. And best of those you don't like, you tend to ignore.
Quote:Not unlike you who holds up any vague or suspect feat as equal to the sort of Planetary level feats Superman has been caught in for the last ten or so years. I'm getting sick of you calling me Liar, Hypocrite etc when you are profoundly incapable of backing up the stuff you say and accuse me of.
I do it all the time and you pretend it wasn't done. That is your M.O.
Quote:What good is it if the Hulk takes a Novablast once but subsequent issues have him Koed or injured by Gastank explosions, Pet Dragons and Adamantium Shrapnel, or less.
Quote:You are ridiculous. I showed you before PAD's recent issue of Hulk not even flinching from a full blast from Fing Fang Foom and brushing off fire bombings in Planet Hulk. I show hiw walking fully flamed from an explosion to continue beating on Thor. Hell, Lockheed was helpless against Hulk during WWH/X-Men. You harp on a high yield space craft fuel explosion that is felt around the world and you REFUSE to acknowledge the power of that explosion. Yet you make up an excuse for Superman being KOed early in his fight by a regular gas station explosion. And ADAMANTIUM is a metal in Marvel that is made to be irresistible. He immediately recovered and continued kicking butt. Desperate measure on your part.
Quote:okay that's it. Enough. "You harp on a high yield space craft fuel explosion that is felt around the world and you REFUSE to acknowledge the power of that explosion."
Quote:That explosion was not felt around the world.
It was felt in another country.
Quote:"you make up an excuse for Superman being KOed early in his fight by a regular gas station explosion"
Quote:The 'excuse' is he is fighting Doomsday - the single most powerful opponent he's encounterd by that point, I made the comparison to you to the explosion the Hulk was caught in fighting... Machine Man.... and you gloss over the obvious dichotomy of that. Nuff said.
You fail to acknowledge that it occurred early in the fight and Superman had yet to take the enormous punishment he would face later.
Quote:"And ADAMANTIUM is a metal in Marvel that is made to be irresistible. He immediately recovered and continued kicking butt."
Quote:The point being this is supposed to be a powered up Hulk. Superman would be invulnerable to such an assault and i've naturally supplied evidence to that effect. Unlike you of course.
Superman was cut by hard light in Loeb's issue. He would not necessarily have been invulnerable to that and Wonder Woman definitely would have probably been killed unless she dodged or blocked the attack.
