God, I can't figure out how you guys can type into previous response threads anymore... I'm getting old.

You and me both. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the previous posts in that neat little scroll.?!?

"The Hulk is no more powerful than the history and logistics of the way his power dictates him to be, plays out. Stan Lee, again, was the writer that made it clear that if Hulk was struck with gamma rays or cosmic rays, it would increase his base level strength. So blame it on him."

Strength and power are two different things. Strength is basically just physical pressure exerted from contact, right? Power is different, and has many more connations. Mental powers, energy powers, magical powers, ionic powers, etc. So saying the hulk is as powerful as he orginally was isn't really correct. (Not that I'm saying a character can't change... I mean it's kind of cool that a character can evolve... to an extant)

Strength and power are really nothing more than expressions of force, and are shown in different ways. Some characters can only use that force physically and others, mentally and still others use different types of energy blasts. How much 'strength' or 'power' there is being said force is what counts. Just because someone can shoot out beams of pure energy, it does not necessarily make them more powerful or the energy beam stronger than a physical blow.

I dunno, I always liked the apethetic frankenstein(ish) hulk... kind of a loner, brutish, noirish creature that was extremely strong... I'm not really into cosmic for the hulk. It's kind of dorky. (heh...though some dark magic stuff could be cool, imho) I like my hulk to be closer to solomon grundy.

The apethetic Frankenstien remark, is an over simplification of a character that has 50 years of comic book character development behind him.

The Hulk has always been fighting cosmic beings. In fact his first was Metal Master in issue #3 of his original book. In that same issue, Hulk was bathed in cosmic energy, which subsequently allowed him to change to Hulk in the daytime for the first time.

Hulk is no Solomon Grundy by far, though both IMO, are monsters in their own rights.

I think you might have the wrong impression of sky-fathers. Their powers stem from a helluva lot more than wisdom.

Please enlighten me?

"Look, if a being is said to have no known limit to his much more powerful than that can you get?" To be honest, there's a decent list of merely earth born people that are more powerful, though perhaps not stronger. Right now, though... I say Hulk would beat anyone on earth, even if he isn't the most powerful, and especially if Pak is writing.

I should also say that right now, the hulk's healing factor might be even more impressive than his strength or other powers he's exhibiting. He's basically a smarter doomsday.

Please explain how Hulk is a smarter Doomsday.

He's... A Misunderstood MONSTER! An INCREDIBLE force! He's ASTONISHING! That's why you don't comprehend him! And because of his...RAMPAGING, the Hater will not tolerate him SAVAGE, INDESTRUCTIBLE, nor his being IMMORTAL!!!
Watch out for that Gamma-Burst ...The WORLD BREAKER!!! "Only the Hulk could have attempted it! Only the Hulk would have been capable of it! Only the Hulk could have done it!"- Tales To Astonish #063 "There is no way to measure his strength! There is nothing he cannot do!"- Tales To Astonish #073 "That something -- anything -- could grab hold of an energy field should be IMPOSSIBLE! But the Hulk grabs hold just the same!"- The Incredible Hulk #242 Gamma Ra the Assassin aka Lord Smash'emall - Faithful Member of The Church of Hulk
