Hulk and Thor fans seem to have come to an understanding that BFR is not Thor's way of winning a fight against a rival - to save innocents maybe but not many think Thor would see this as a true victory. So What other ways can Thor use his powers to take down Hulk.

There has been a lot of 'if Thor wasn't playing around and used his full abilities 'statements recently so could I have some clarification of what Thor can do if he wasn't 'playing around' and what if anything Hulk could do to counter.

For example -could Thor , using the hammers energy absorption drain Hulk as Surfer does?

There's really nothing Mjolnir cannot do. It's limit is Thor. So *can* Thor use his powers to teleport Hulk to the heart of a sun, or to deep space where he will suffocate, or drain his gamma, or magically simply transform him back into Banner like Loki did, or shrink him into nothingness? I absolutely believe so. There are too many examples where he's done that to enemies to say he couldn't do it to the Hulk.

BUT

That's not Thor's way, which is why in evaluating a battleboard fight between the two, I would never support a statement that Thor would do those things. You have to take into account the mentality of the combatants when looking at how a fight would go. Hulk would not go Worldbreaker on Thor, and Thor would not cast a spell to turn Hulk into Banner. He sees Hulk as being the ultimate physical challenge, and his warrior's code would compel him to take the most difficult route possible to beat him.

Now if Dr. Doom figured out a way to harness Mjolnir, on the other hand...
