I don't mind a character healing fast, I really don't, but when said character spent decades being virtually invulnerable, it just doesn't look right to see garden variety things hurt these characters. I saw scans of the Hulk's recent battles in Olympus and saw arrows in his flesh. In the old days, those arrows--Olympian or not--would've just bounced off of him.

they were no doubt far tougher than mortal arrows. In the past arrows from Heimdall have destroyed fighter jets in one shot. They are weapons meant to kill beings with much greater durability than normal humans. So I think it does make some sense for them to pierce Hulk's skin.
