At least we know if Zeus wanted to, he could easily kill the Hulk with his energy projection.

"The Madder Hulk gets, the Stronger Hulk gets."

Don't be so certain that Zeus could have easily taken him out just because the first few blasts were laying him low. He kept getting up, didn't he? I mean, this is the Hulk. Consider his history. Does he EVER start a battle where he isn't getting his @ss kicked in some way? You'll notice, though, he is literally laughing off the assault from Zeus that has Hephaestus diving out of the way and exclaiming: "Now you've done it!"

The madder he gets... the stronger he gets~The longer he fights, the madder he gets.

"The Hulk cannot tire! The more he fights--the stronger he becomes!"

"An incalculable will to live!"

"Stronger than any creature ever encountered!"

"The Hulk is almost God-like in his will power!"

Notorious for being laid low, at first, by some new blow; then rising angrier and stronger than when it hit him before. Is this not exactly what we see in this scene?? The Hulk is getting fried, it hurts, burns his hide. He heals. Stands up. Take's the next shot in the face while Zeus' cohorts flee the scene, and laughs as though it tickles.

That's what he does.

He gets stronger.

Or is the assumption really that Zeus' attacks were getting... weaker?

"But that strange conglomeration of limitless power and rampaging fury which makes up the Hulk becomes virtually uncontrollable whenever the cause seems most hopeless -- Hulk is stronger than anything!"
