...the argument was that the number of followers should be what justify a god's power. At the height of their glory, the Norse and Roman don't compare all that well. Rome's influence was much greater.

    Either way, if you look at it, there is no way to tell if Zeus and Thor or even Indra were one and the Same,

Who knows. However, in Marvel they sure aren't the same.

    Oh and do you Think the East indian Gods had less worshipers than the greeks?

I suppose that depend on the time period we look at. At the zenith of it's glory, the Romans were ruling over nearly a quarter of the globe's population. That's a lot. I can also assure you the Greek and Roman had a much more profound impact on the western world than any other civilization.
