Quote:Therefore in those days there was no reason to write the character as more able to do than what he did. However in some cases, bad writting was indeed appearant, that or simply lack of commin ground between characters, one of such examples is Thor yaking on him wth his strength trippled up, without any kind of outside circumstances with it when he struggles with Ulik for daily measure.
This to me is the difference. Some villains have been treated with respect over the years so even when they lose they come across as a major threat. Ares has not.
Quote:There has to be other characters who have done much less for you to argue about, man. Let those jeans go.
I am a fan of mythology and hate it when godly characters are heavily watered down time and again. Ares has been so worse than any other including his turn to anit-hero. Since I have not read every comic featuring him I was simply wondering if he did have any impressive fights to back up all the claims Marvel made over the years about him.
Ah, I haven`t been around for some time and I think I have mixed your names, but no it was really you I was asking that, because we have had conversations about mythology before here and over at Thor`s
nothing bad, of course, I have enjoyed all of it but...in this case I just don`t see the big deal. Ares was never a Hela level of treath so and I don`t think writers have pegged him as that high.
Sure, Bendis did that, to justify his choice, but so what? Writers do that all the time, it`s called marketing the new take. As for his reportoire..haven`t you seen the list before? I think he is a certifiable B level godly powerhouse these days.
