    Overall power, a very good case can be made for Thor to be superior.  If Thor is also not subject to the 60s rule at the time, he also is well ahead in terms of lack of weaknesses, and is ahead in overall versatility.

    A fight between the two would and should be epic though...


I would agree, but I actually think that JLA/Avengers probably got it close to right. In a straight slug out Superman probably has a slight edge with all his physical abilities.

That said, if Thor were to use other abilities too than it changes fast. The two are in the same weight class without question. One can say that Thor has better fighting feats though. Or at least make a strong case for it.
