Okay, I was wrong about the phrase "chain reaction" not appearing in the comic, but it doesn't change a thing because you completely ignore one key piece of evidence. One bomb did go off when Iron Man failed to defuse it and it did destroy one fifth of the universe! No chain reaction. Just destruction.

      Quote:
That's not true at all. The bombs themselves weren't that powerful. Here Photon and Surfer both set off the bomb prematurely and nothing happens at all.

You really, really need to learn how to interpret what's on the page. Destroying a bomb isn't the equivalent of setting the bomb off! Similarly, if you blew up a nuclear weapon, it doesn't cause a nuclear explosion. It'll scatter radioactive material, but that's it. Photon and Surfer both destroy bombs. Neither detonate the bombs. Big difference.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about. You know the nuclear bombs work on chain reaction, do you?

The bombs created a chain reaction that would've destroyed 1/5th of the universe. The bomb themselves were not that powerful and Thor only took brunt of the bomb's power.

Yes, he cut off the bomb from the rest of the universe inside the vortex and hence stopped the chain reaction.

      Quote:
The bomb itself wasn't that powerful.

    Quote:
Really? Then why did it destroy one fifth of the universe? There's no chain reaction. The bomb simply destroyed one fifth of the entire universe! "So many galaxies... so many inhabited worlds... erased in an instant!" That's what the Grandmaster says. Nothing about a chain reaction.

He doesn't has to hammer chain reaction every time. Once is suffice.

Heh, that's why he physically absorbed the power of maggeddon which could destroy half the galaxy?

Half a galaxy? Pffft. That's nothing compared to Thor's one fifth of a universe, which contains billions of galaxies.

      Quote:
If only you could read and comprehend what actually happened in that comic.

I can clearly read and comprehend better than you do since you think a bomb that can destroy a fifth of the universe is not that powerful.

Chain reactions dear. Chain reactions. Its all in the comic itself.
