Quote:Thor merely destroyed the stone, He had zero effect on Thanos himself.
Quote:Tell that to a Thanos pummeled within an inch of his life.
After he was depowered and Thor was still amped? No shit.
Quote:Powered up Thor defeated Thanos after he lost his power up. Not before that.
Quote:Except Thanos didn't just mysteriously lose his power up. Thor destroyed it during direct combat with a powered-up Thanos who could not prevent Thor from doing so.
Yes, Thor destroyed the power stone. Doesn't means Thanos was beaten straight up.
And Thor took Thanos by surprise when he destroyed that stone.
Quote:Nope. If Superman doesn't have access to a yellow star to dip in, he can't externally amp himself. Thor has shown he can open a dimensional portal, reach in, and grab his belt of strength whenever he wants. He owns the belt just like he owns Mjolnir. It's part of his power set that he can choose to tap into.
Quote:And Superman has shown he can take a sun dip anytime he want.
Quote:Nonsense. If there's not a yellow star nearby, he can't.
This is just nonsense. Why wouldn't be a yellow star nearby?
Quote:And no, its not part of his power set. Its an external plot device which AMPS him. I can't believe someone is arguing that Thor being twice as strong isn't an outside amp.
Quote:It's not an outside amp because it's Thor's belt of strength and only Thor's. The belt is no more an outside amp than Mjolnir is.
Thor was brought the belt by Firelord. He didn't just grabbed it.
And Red Norvell has used it too. But keep telling us how Thor being twice as strong isn't an amp.
Mjolnir doesn't makes him twice as strong as before.
Quote:Heh, so Captain Marvel is more powerful than Eternity? What about Hawkeye and Krona?
Your interpretation and extrapolation skills leave a lot to be desired.
So no answer and running now? How about Thanos with IG vs Nebula? Or Warlock vs Nebula with IG?
Quote:And holy crap, you are like the most illogical Thor fanboy I've seen and that's saying a lot.
Quote:When people have to resort to outright ad hominem in a debate, that means they are losing.
Quote:Haha, oh the irony. You are the one who keeps saying Thor destroying the stone means he beat Thanos straight up.
Quote:Apparently you don't understand what ad hominem means.
Apparently you don't know how reading works either.
Quote:Up until Thor 78 it was a possible future of Earth 616, when King Thor changed the past it became an entirely different reality.
Quote:I already stated it is an alternate reality. What you don't get is that it is something that happened to 616 Thor, became an alternate reality, but nevertheless remained in 616 Thor's experience and so actually had to happen and so evidence from what happened counts.
No, it is separate from 616 reality after King Thor changed it.
Its no different than a What If at this point and has no bearing on 616 characters. Jurgens himself said that it was an Odin Force Thor who defeated Thing and Hulk.
Quote:RC: Take the recent Thor fight against Hulk, Wolverine, Thing and other Marvel characters-wherein Thor absolutely dominates his competition. People want to know . . . how the hell did Thor pull that off? Did he have the Odin-power at the time?DAN JURGENS: It was still an Odin-powered Thor. It had to be.With Superman or Thor, you introduce the threat on page one, and its a big threat. And then its over by page two. It happens even more with Batman. Have you ever seen Batman meet some crook in an alley and take five pages to beat the crook up? No friggin way! In Batmans world, it doesnt end that way. Its ends with one shot to the back of the head. One blow to knock the wind out of you and drop you to your knees. That establishes the supremacy of Batman. Same thing with Thor. If you take an Odin-powered Thor . . . no one is going to stand up to him. Thats what I set out to show with the latest fight.
Quote:Hey, you're the one who is cherry picking for Superman. You cherry pick only his highest end feats and then pretend like he's that way all the time. Wrong.
Quote:I'm talking about the averages of both characters. Superman's average is significantly higher than Thor's.
Quote:Only when you cherry pick.
Nope, straight up as well.
Quote:Again, you take things out of context. Captain Marvel didn't want to hurt Superman whereas Eclipso Superman very much wanted to hurt Captain Marvel. Thor and Captain Marvel were fighting based on the same rules. Thor won.
Wrong again. I suggest you read the comic again if you can actually read that is.
No, Cap lost by his own mistake. There is a difference.
Quote:Captain Marvel didn't even lose.
He was almost killed. That's a lot worse than losing.
