Quote:Except Thanos didn't just mysteriously lose his power up. Thor destroyed it during direct combat with a powered-up Thanos who could not prevent Thor from doing so.
Yes, Thor destroyed the power stone. Doesn't means Thanos was beaten straight up.
Thor beat Thanos straight-up in part by destroying the Illumination Stone. Here's an analogy. If Thanos had removed Mjolnir from the field of battle and then beat up Thor, would that not be a clean win for Thanos just because Thor would not have been at full power without Mjolnir? Similarly, after Thor engaged with Thanos with both trading repeated blows, Thor removed part of Thanos' power and then pounded him down. That's a clean win.
Quote:And Thor took Thanos by surprise when he destroyed that stone.
That would be quite impossible since they were brawling for 6 straight panels right before it happens.
Quote:And Superman has shown he can take a sun dip anytime he want.
Nonsense. If there's not a yellow star nearby, he can't.
This is just nonsense. Why wouldn't be a yellow star nearby?
Because stories take place all over the comic universe and there are numerous varieties of stars, yellow just being a small portion of them, and stars are light years apart.
Quote:Thor was brought the belt by Firelord. He didn't just grabbed it.
In this instance because in this story, Firelord was also giving him enchanted armor and a shield.
Quote:And Red Norvell has used it too. But keep telling us how Thor being twice as strong isn't an amp.
Red Norvell once used Thor's Belt of Strength but it's still Thor's, not Norvell's. Beta Ray Bill used Mjolnir once too. That doesn't make the hammer his. And of course the Belt of Strength is an amp, but it's an amp within Thor's own power set.
Quote:So no answer and running now? How about Thanos with IG vs Nebula? Or Warlock vs Nebula with IG?
Nebula wasn't fighting IG Thanos and Warlock wasn't fighting IG Nebula when each lost the IG so what the heck are you even talking about? Oh yeah, trying to mislead like with the life-bombs that you were completely wrong about.
Quote:Apparently you don't understand what ad hominem means.
Apparently you don't know how reading works either.
Wow, such a witty comeback.
Quote:Jurgens himself said that it was an Odin Force Thor who defeated Thing and Hulk.
Quote:RC: Take the recent Thor fight against Hulk, Wolverine, Thing and other Marvel characters-wherein Thor absolutely dominates his competition. People want to know . . . how the hell did Thor pull that off? Did he have the Odin-power at the time?DAN JURGENS: It was still an Odin-powered Thor. It had to be.With Superman or Thor, you introduce the threat on page one, and its a big threat. And then its over by page two. It happens even more with Batman. Have you ever seen Batman meet some crook in an alley and take five pages to beat the crook up? No friggin way! In Batmans world, it doesnt end that way. Its ends with one shot to the back of the head. One blow to knock the wind out of you and drop you to your knees. That establishes the supremacy of Batman. Same thing with Thor. If you take an Odin-powered Thor . . . no one is going to stand up to him. Thats what I set out to show with the latest fight.
Caponetti lumps in a whole bunch of Marvel characters that Thor beat during The Reigning arc into the question. King Thor did indeed beat most of them with the Odinpower during this storyline so his answer with those characters is correct, but the comics also clearly show that he beat Hulk and Thing without the Odinpower. When what's shown in the comic contradicts what the author says in an interview, the comic takes precedent, not the interview. It's the comic that is canon.
Quote:No, Cap lost by his own mistake. There is a difference.
Captain Marvel didn't even lose.He was almost killed. That's a lot worse than losing.
So you admit you've deliberately tried to mislead again because you just admitted Cap didn't lose when you had said he did lose earlier. Sheesh.
