Yeah, it's clear by this point that when faced with clear evidence right in front of his face that contradict his views - here that Surfer absorbs energies with no problem that Rayner could not deal with at all, abhijit just go into absolute psychological denial.

Surfer didn't absorb the energies by himself forcibly, Kyle gave then to him because he had no idea what to do with the power and more experienced Surfer had better control of the power.

Forcibly has nothing to do with it. Kyle couldn't handle the power and gave it to Surfer who could.

Yes, inexperience with power can do that to a character. Kyle had drained and defeated Thanos and Parallax both which Surfer can only dream about doing.

For abhijit, what characters say is meaningful when they support Superman. What characters say is not meaningful when they don't support Superman or when they support Martian Manhunter, Silver Surfer, or Thor instead. He only cares about context when it makes other characters look worse, but he doesn't care about context when it makes Superman look better. That's been his tactic throughout this thread.

    You can't even lie properly.

The Surfer was able to absorb and control the power because of his power-set, as was stated in the story.  Kyle's inexperience wasn't the issue here, his limit for energy absorption was.

Why did Kyle drain them and not the Surfer?  It was plainly stated in the story, the Surfer had given virtually all of his power to Parallax.  He was too diminished at that point to accomplish the feat.  Again, as clearly stated in the story.
