1. they are fighting for the lives of every person on earth, so the stakes would propel Xavier beyond his reticence to preserve mental privacy.

2. he would have his teammate's permission to do his thing & augment them, given the consequences of winning or losing this battle.

3. what good is not causing damage if losing means every person on the planet either dies or becomes enslaved by the villains?


This is an extraordinary circumstance and, at least to my mind, would inspire extraordinary actions by the heroes to prevail...

When has Professor X ever done that?

Why would Professor X be better at dealing out violence than Hulk or Thor, presumably they know their abilities more than him.

Typically, mind controlled guys are less effective because of internal conflict.

One thing that might be the case, is that Ghost Rider may be perfect for taking down Mangog,
