    this skill in the arena.

Now, who would win, Thanos or Kurse?

Funny that Thor didn't have to wear the belt of strength vs Thanos or any other such items; unless Thanos was tapping on even more additional power- as in the case with Tarene. Now, to be perfectly fair, Kurse was enhanced by an outside source to be about 4 times stronger (and probably beyond) than Thor, and with a ridiculous durability factor that could practically be compared almost to a mid-level Sky-Lord. The early version of Thanos who fought Warlock and the Avengers would not have lasted 10 seconds against Kurse. You see, once Kurse was enhanced - that was it for him for he reach a tipping point. The most recent Thanos has no limits in that if needs more additional reservoir of power/energy he gets it INSTANTLY. In that aspect, Kurse would have a very difficult hill to climb- and Thanos is the favorite. However, if Kurse has the opportunity to physically get to Thanos- he would do to Thanos what the Hulk did to Loki in the Avengers movie. Imagine the combined strength/durability factor of Thor, Hyperion, Gladiator and the Hulk charging at Thanos; and even if Thanos win- it won't be easy.

One thing to note is that I consider Thanos, because he depends on powers that are not inherently his.. just like KT tapping on the Odin-Force. You guys would immediately jump and say that that is not Thor; but then with Thanos is all perfectly groovy, right?

KT is an enhanced version of Thor, a different Thor if you want whereas Thanos tapping into his power source is simply himself - like the Silver Surfer is still himself when he taps.

I think that in Thanos's first appearances it was not yet fully shown although present - look for example in his fight against Thor and Thing during his encounters with the Avengers.
