True, but that could work either way. He could have been more fully unleashed against Thanos and the Titan held on. The guy did show up with Thor in tow captured. A guy like Odin would not and did not take that lightly.

At the same time, Odin was increasing his output as the battle progressed. Once he summoned Gungnir, Thanos started getting pressed hard. While Thanos withstood a ton of punishment, he never actually put marks on the scoreboard against Odin.

Similarly, Thanos has faired about as well against Tyrant. Who seems to be in the skyfather level himself.

The difference with Tyrant is that Thanos employed an additional resource to compete with and harm Tyrant. If we are to assume that a diminished Tyrant is hovering around Skyfather level (I would agree with you), maybe 10x the power of a herald, then Thanos with Morg's sphere was in hitting distance of Tyrant.

The possibly exists that while Odin hit Thanos with 10x the power of a herald (as with Tyrant), Odin had quite a bit more in reserve had the battle continued. That's pure speculation on my part.

You know my 'pet theory' that Odin can scale up his power at the cost of stamina. I actually use Tyrant as a reference in this theory, because Galactus felt that Tyrant could be nullified or greatly mitigated by locking him in a smaller form (whereas previously he was analogous to Galactus himself).

It's like in Marvel, you need to BE the size of Galactus or a Celestial to really compete with them.
