Subj: I guess it depends on what you want to compare, but then who do you disqualify in the Trek universe Posted: Wed Dec 20, 2017 at 02:43:20 pm EST (Viewed 206 times) | Reply Subj: Q is too powerful, let's ignore him - wtf? Posted: Wed Dec 20, 2017 at 06:49:39 am EST (Viewed 223 times)
Q isn't the only near omnipotent being or group of beings. I do think they kind of tried to reconcile a bunch of the godlike beings from original trek with Q in a novel, but I never read it, so... what about the Thasians (the ones that taught Charlie to have such vast psionic power that he could control the Enterprise and make people disappear)...and Charlie himself Armus (the thing that killed Tasha Yar) was pretty nasty, and was spawned from a race of beings that might be really powerful too The companion, though it gave up its power, could there be others...and it was kind of similar to the energy being that fomented fighting between Kirk and Klingons...what about them How about the Cytherians, the Douwd (the guy who survived the Crystalline entity was one of them), the Excalbians (the ones who created copies of Lincoln and others to study good vs. evil), Trelane's race, the greek gods like Apollo, the Metrons (who pitted Kirk against the Gorn captain), the Organians, etc. Or people like Gary Mitchell... I'm sure there are more, but there seem to be lots of VERY powerful beings in the Trek universe....so you might exempt Q but can you exempt them all....
