Quote:That's not even a fight! Superman doesn't ever attack Darkseid here.
And here I thought Darkseid didn't even appear in the comic.
Superman tried to attack Darkseid in the previous issue and Darkseid swatted him aside.
Superman even says that Darkseid will only take the humans over his dead body but Darkseid blasts him to his knees and defeats him.
Surprise Superman? He saw the omegas coming and couldn't do anything about it as Darkseid held him and Infinity Man helpless.
Quote:In Adventures of Superman #495, they don't even fight. Darkseid surprises Superman with omegas and teleports him to Darkseid!
Quote:Superman and Infinity Man are on Earth. Darkseid is not there. Darkseid's omegas appear out of nowhere - so yes, Superman was surprised - and teleport them to Darkseid in an immobilized state. That's the whole thing and that's not a fight!
Both Superman and Infinity Man were on apokolips not earth. Did you even read the story?
Yes it's a fight where Darkseid had Superman helpless.
Darkseid had Superman at his mercy without even trying to kill him. I don't know in what world that's not a victory.
Quote:New Gods #10 doesn't have a real fight either. Superman is enraged seeing Darkseid. Darkseid fires omegas to immobilize Superman and before Superman can break free, Highfather tells Superman that Darkseid is to be their ally and Darkseid lets Superman go. That's not a fight! And it's certainly not a victory for Darkseid.
Quote:Superman was just starting to free himself when Darkseid let him go, so it's far from clear that Superman was at his mercy. In any world, that's not a victory because it wasn't a fight! Superman never even attacked Darkseid. Here is what a victory looks like:
Highfather had to convince Darkseid not to kill Superman straight up. And Superman wasn't in process of freeing himself, he was already on his knees.
Superman tried to attack Darkseid, he just couldn't do it.
Quote:Compare that to yours:
Darkseid easily besting Superman to Superman beating Darkseid after he is hit by his own omega beams?
That's laughable that you count that as some kind of definitive win. 5 of the 7 examples you used were not Darkseid beating Superman and I only counted one of them as a win for Darkseid because Superman fled. MOS #116 is a fight, but Darkseid clearly does not win it as both combatants are fine at the end of an inconclusive battle. The rest are the equivalent to the above. They aren't fights, just Darkseid momentarily immobilizing Superman. This completely puts the lie to your claim that "Darkseid has beaten Superman far more than Superman defeating him or stalemating him
Your denial is as amusing as always. These are all wins, far more definitive than either Odin or Thanos have over Thor for example.
LMAO, where are all these wins?
Quote:So really, the win-loss is 3-1 in Superman's favor. I had never tabulated it before now, so thanks for that!
Quote:Yes, just pretend you haven't read this thread:
I've read it, never saw a win without Darkseid being injured by his own omega beams.
What a bunch of nonsense.
