That reasoning is nowhere found in the book. Being an integral part of the universe hasn't kept Galactus from losing many times before.

The actual narration states, "But the victory, if such it may be called, is a thing too short-lived to be of consequence" So the narration actually states the opposite of what you said it does. The narration actually questions whether it may be called a victory and then says that EVEN if you do call it that, it's an inconsequential one! I've never seen someone so biased in how they interpret comics. Never.
