Quote:Yes, Darkseid used wipe effect on Galactus which was undone because Byrne's Galactus was an integral part of the universe.
Quote:That reasoning is nowhere found in the book. Being an integral part of the universe hasn't kept Galactus from losing many times before.
That's how you can be shielded from omega beams and how it is for Galactus.
Quote:Otherwise Galactus was overpowered by a few giants created by Darksied.
Quote:A hungry Galactus who was deliberately ignoring these giants got pushed around by them, and then ignored them some more by having the Silver Surfer take care of them.
Their durability wasn't as par as their power. And Darkseid wasn't ignoring them, he was beaten by them once they got his measure.
If Galactus was so much more powerful than Darkseid as you say, how was he beaten by creatures created by a mere thought from Darkseid?
Quote:The narrative directly calls it a Victory.
Quote:No it doesn't! The actual narration states, "But the victory, if such it may be called, is a thing too short-lived to be of consequence" So the narration actually states the opposite of what you said it does. The narration actually questions whether it may be called a victory and then says that EVEN if you do call it that, it's an inconsequential one! I've never seen someone so biased in how they interpret comics. Never.
Galactus staggers and falls and then "But the victory if such it may be called" directly shows that the giants had beaten Galactus.
Narration doesn't questions it, its just short lived victory upon Galactus.
Your mental gymnastics are amusing if nothing else.
