Quote:Yes, Darkseid used wipe effect on Galactus which was undone because Byrne's Galactus was an integral part of the universe.
Quote:That reasoning is nowhere found in the book. Being an integral part of the universe hasn't kept Galactus from losing many times before.
Quote:Otherwise Galactus was overpowered by a few giants created by Darksied.
Quote:A hungry Galactus who was deliberately ignoring these giants got pushed around by them, and then ignored them some more by having the Silver Surfer take care of them.
Quote:The narrative directly calls it a Victory.
Quote:No it doesn't! The actual narration states, "But the victory, if such it may be called, is a thing too short-lived to be of consequence" So the narration actually states the opposite of what you said it does. The narration actually questions whether it may be called a victory and then says that EVEN if you do call it that, it's an inconsequential one! I've never seen someone so biased in how they interpret comics. Never.
I've pretty much concluded that motifan does this on purpose just to stir up a argument. Is it possible that this is a subtle way to troll the boards? I can't believe that a person could purposely ignore so much material to prove or disprove a point and believe their case is correct. Motifan reminds me of "Baghdad Bob" during the US Iraq war. That guy was a real joy to watch, he was real comical.
