Which makes no sense. A Batman who trains to be the best human he can, should not be a better Superman, than someone who has considerably trained to be the best he can be too.


as a one off, it often plays out as 'awesome', so only if Batman were given Kryptonian powers for a somewhat extended stretch would the inverse law of fighting skill kick in....


Wolverine fights like an idiot brawler in 90% of his fights, loses his healing and is suddenly shown to be explicitly better than the best fighters in the MU (barf)

Thor loses his powers and suddenly he's shown and explained to be an 'unparalleled' fighter as good as any street (though he did show skill at other times when facing higher end opponents)

The only high powered character that somewhat consistently had good skill showings that I can think of is Wonder Woman...


So in general, its a lot like the inverse law of Ninjas....one ninja is unbeatable, but their individual effectiveness is inversely proportional to the number of ninjas present....
