I have to admit that, for me, there isn't a single animal that I would refuse to eat, except humans, unless it was life or death. I don't much care about endangered whatever, I'd eat it at least once to see if it tasted good. I love sushi and escargot (y'know, snails). I've eaten earthworms and bugs. Frog legs are to die for. Turtle soup (w/ real turtle) is good. Raw oysters on the halfshell are to kill for. Buffalo, yak, kangaroo, ostrich, alligator, rattlesnake--I've had it. I even plan on trying fugu (pufferfish) once before I die (or maybe while I die ;\) ).

When it comes to dog or cat, I would have to be fairly desperate to choose it, but if I just happened to be served some, I wouldn't refuse it.

But well... I don't eat pork, but that's only because it disagrees with my stomach.

There was once a restaurant here in New Orleans that served elephant, tiger, and hippopotamus steaks, and I've always been rather bummed that they stopped serving these when I was a small child.

BTW, here's a picture of the menu from that restaurant:

Bon Appétit!
