*Le sigh* It does benefit them if the writers get what they want, sort of. They're all part of the IATSE, which also get residuals. However, the individuals don't get them, they go toward health care, pension and other things. If the writers can increase their residuals, the IATSE will also get a bump. So you can't say it doesn't benefit them at all.

um...considering many of them aren't being paid at the moment...I don't see the benefit.
