The majority of people in the states are Christians. Not sure if it's 70%, or maybe 80%. Anyway, if you want to see how they dress, simply look at any tv show, movie, or pictures from the U.S. . . . (No, not a period piece.
Anything with a contemporary setting.)
Not trying to dodge your question. Simply pointing out something you might have either not realized, or forgotten.
... I *do* realize that most of Americans are Christians
And I certainly realize that most of them wear exactly the same as other people in the States...
My question regarded those American Christians who belong to more conservative churches / denominations. As I wrote in my first post: while browsing the net, I found that some of those conservative Christians have some very strong opinions on clothing, modesty etc. What interested me was *how many* of Christians in the States share those opinions - I didn't want to imply that *all* of American Christians wear that way. I realize we're most probably talking about a minority view - but I'm curious about the size of that minority...
Hope that clears things up... Anyway, I didn't want to offend or annoy anybody - if it looked that way, please accept my apologies.
